A Little More About Sydney Australia for Your Great
Tour
When it comes to sheer beauty, exotic things to see to
do and a variety of fun for the whole family, you really can't
beat Sydney Australia because it has it all. While some people
shy away from Sydney just because it takes a little longer to
get there, the distance and the unique people, culture and
landscapes add to the excitement of going somewhere so new and
so different. Whether you want great sites, exciting things to
explore or a learning experience for the kids, Sydney has all of
that to offer and lots more as well.
When you are flying into Sydney, one thing that always jumps out
and will have the kids saying, "Wow, what is that?" is the
Sydney Opera House. This phenomenal structure will become a must
see stop on your schedule even if you are not an opera fan. If
you do wish to take in a performance, start well in advance of
your trip to get on the list to get tickets. The Sydney Opera
House stays sold out.
Sydney location on the ocean creates countless activities that
can be enjoyed by everyone in the family who loves to explore
exciting and exotic locations. The waterfront is great fun to
wander around in by foot and discover as though nobody had ever
been there before. But if you want a big tour, there is a
trackless train that will get you all around the waterfront and
let you get a great view of that phenomenal Opera House and the
Royal Botanical Gardens as well.
One site that will have every camera in the family snapping is
Mrs. Macquarie's Chair. The legend goes that Mrs. Macquarie was
the mayor's wife way back around 1810 and she carved a bench out
of sandstone. That alone makes it a great landmark to take in
but the view of Sydney harbor from Mrs. Macquarie's chair is
breathtaking as well.
There are things to do for those who value a rugged hike or some
risqué swimming so don’t hesitate to split the family up so
everybody can have their fun. For the more adult members of the
family, hit Bondi Beach. Naturally, the beach itself is great
fun and stunningly beautiful like very other attraction in
Sydney. But if you wander to the topless area of the beach, the
scenic wonders are not the only thing that will make your eyes
pop.
Once the more adult members of the party have gotten heart rates
up at Bondi Beach, calm yourself with natures beauty at the
Royal Botanical Gardens. While mom and the grandparents stroll
the wonderful gardens, those who want a physical challenge can
take on the guided Bridge Climb. You better be in good shape and
not afraid of high places for this challenging adventure. But
the pay off of what may be the best view of the entire area will
make your sweat and hard work to get there worth the effort.
To say we could go on and on about the seemingly endless things
to do and see in Sydney is not an exaggeration. The kids will
love being able to touch and play with exotic Australian animal
at Featherdale Wildlife Park. To see even more fascinating
animal species that you cannot touch, Taronga Zoo is not far
away either. To get a little historical view of the maritime
history of Sydney, take in the Australian Maritime Museum. This
is the educational part and dad will like the fact that it is
free.
Hopefully when you take the family to Sydney Australia, you will
give yourself plenty of time to see as much as you can during
your very busy tour there. But don’t worry if you don’t see
everything because the entire family will start campaigning for
a return trip as soon as you get on the airplane to leave. Give
in to their campaigning because Sydney is the kind of place you
will want to return to again and again and again.
