The Hunter Valley is the picturesque wine region closest to Sydney, responsible for approximately 23% of this countries annual wine production.

Australia’s wine growing history stemmed from this area, an easy two and a half hour drive, north west of Sydney.

The Hunter Valley is home to 120 vineyards and increasing all the time. Entering this region through the nearby charming, rural farmlands is a great introduction to the vineyards. During the tour we can have lunch at one of the districts many fine and varied restaraunts .

Distinctive Hunter wines are its Shiraz and Semillons, yet still growing world class wines in many other varietals.

The region can be visited anytime; many of the vineyards are small yield, boutique style, where people can visit at a leisurely pace, away from the large groups to sample the unique qualities of the local produce.

The picking season starts from late January and goes through until late March, weather dependent.

After lunch and touring its foot down and back to town so you can enjoy your evening plans.
